How do I upload "Zwift Workout" files to my Zwift app?

Zwift is a social indoor cycling video game and training platform. It allows cyclists to train and ride in a beautiful 3D environment along with other riders from anywhere on the planet. We have created a special Zwift workout file that allows athletes to load BBS Race plans as workouts into the Zwift workout library. This file type is in beta as we add additional features to it over the off season such as on screen instructions for road gradients and weather conditions.

  • First you must have a Best Bike Split and a Zwift account.

  • Create a Athlete Profile in Best Bike Split to get baseline information such as FTP.

  • Connect to your Zwift account by going to My Account, then Connect Zwift. Click the "Connect Zwift" button and you will be prompted to log in to your Zwift account.

Race Plan Based Workouts

  • Create a Bike Profile in Best Bike Split that you want to use for your race plan.

  • Upload a course or courses you wish to model into Best Bike Split in .GPX Track or .FIT Activity format or choose one or more courses from our growing database.

  • Create a race plan based on Goal IF, Time or TSS.

  • On the Race Plan Details you will now see Zwift Uploads and a button to upload your workout directly to Zwift.

Analytics Based Workouts

  • Create a Bike Profile in Best Bike Split that is identical to the bike used on your ride or race to be analyzed.

  • Analyze a previous ride or race by filling in your Ride Settings such as the bike used, road conditions, and the terrain. Select a .FIT Activity file that has at a minimum latitude, longitude, speed and power .FIT Activity.

  • On the Analytics Details you will now see Zwift Uploads and a button to upload your workout directly to Zwift.

AI Generated Workouts

  • Using an AI prompt and/or selecting a previous race plan create a new workout.

  • On the Workout Details you will now see Zwift Uploads and a button to upload your workout directly to Zwift.

That's it! You are now ready to ride!

  • Open Zwift app, and your most recent uploaded workout will be available on your home screen. You can upload up to 5 workouts at any time and these will be available in your Zwift workout library.

Note: Workouts will only be available for 24 hours after upload.
